Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Mana For Cards (the "Service"), operated from Cyprus ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Mana For Cards Is

Mana For Cards helps Magic: The Gathering players import and analyze their physical or digital card collections, discover what decks they can build, get Commander recommendations, and identify what's missing from a deck they want to build.

Mana For Cards is an independent, fan-made tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast LLC. "Magic: The Gathering" and all associated card names, artwork, and imagery are the property of Wizards of the Coast.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away at hello@manaforcards.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under the age required by your country to consent to online services on your own, you need a parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

3. Plans, Pricing, and Billing

Mana For Cards offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Current pricing is always shown on our Pricing page; as of this writing, Pro is €7.99/month or €59.99/year.

• Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
• You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro access until then.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details ourselves.
• If you are an EU consumer, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract. Because this Service provides immediate access to digital features upon payment, you acknowledge that by starting to use Pro features immediately after subscribing, you agree to waive this withdrawal right once you've begun using them, consistent with the EU Consumer Rights Directive's treatment of digital content/services supplied with prior express consent. If you'd prefer to preserve your withdrawal right, contact us before using any Pro features after subscribing.
• We may change pricing going forward; existing subscribers will be given reasonable notice before a price change takes effect on their next renewal.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or data.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or its networks.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract data from the Service beyond your own account's data, except as the Service's own features allow.
• Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or harmful content.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

5. Your Collection Data

The information you add to your account - your card collection, decks, drafts, and preferences - is yours. We don't claim ownership over it. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display this data solely to operate and improve the Service for you.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party services to function, including but not limited to:

• Scryfall, for Magic: The Gathering card data and imagery.
• Stripe, for payment processing.
• AI providers accessed via OpenRouter, for optional Pro-tier card scanning assistance.

We aren't responsible for outages, errors, or changes in these third-party services that are outside our control, though we'll do our best to keep the Service working smoothly around them.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service itself - its code, design, and original content - belongs to us. Card names, card text, card images, and Magic: The Gathering trademarks belong to Wizards of the Coast and are used under fair use / for identification purposes, consistent with Wizards of the Coast's Fan Content Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that card recognition, recommendations, or any analysis will be perfectly accurate. Deckbuilding suggestions are informational and don't guarantee a legal, optimal, or format-compliant deck.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mana For Cards will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Cyprus or EU law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify active users (for example, by email or an in-app notice) before the changes take effect.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. If you are an EU consumer, mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your own country of residence may also apply to you and take precedence where they provide greater protection.
